One of the largest and most diverse film industries in the world, India includes Bollywood, Tollywood, and other distinct sectors. However, only a small portion of the country's nearly 2,000 films made each year ever find a significant audience in the West. One of the movies that Hollywood audiences talk about the most these days is RRR. Moviegoers, Hollywood stars, and critics have been gushing about the movie, its aesthetics, cinematography, and other elements as it is currently streaming on OTT platforms.

Recently, The Russo Brothers, who directed The Gray Man, and Indian filmmaker SS Rajamouli had a special conversation to talk about the RRR trend that is sweeping Hollywood in a Netflix-arranged interaction. Since its release earlier this year, SS Rajamouli's epic opus RRR has won praise from all around the world. Ram Charan and Jr. NTR starrer "RRR" has become the most watched Indian film on Netflix, which surprised the film's director.

In the conversation, Rajamouli expressed, "Yes, I was surprised with the reception from the West. A good story is a good story for everyone, but I didn't think I could make films for Western sensibilities. I never believed myself. So when it came out on Netflix and people started watching it, and word of mouth started spreading, when the critics started giving out good reviews, yes I was really, really surprised."

After the conversation, Russo Brothers tweeted that SS Rajamouli was the greatest. They tweeted, “Such an honor getting to meet THE great S.S. Rajamouli…" To this tweet, Rajamouli replied, "The honor and pleasure are mine.. It was a great interaction. Looking forward to meeting and learning a bit of your craft."

Despite having an around $300 million budget, the movie made about Rs 1200 crore during its theatrical run. The most watched non-English movie on the platform is RRR. For those who are unfamiliar, RRR is a fictional account of the lives of revolutionary independence warriors Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem, played by Ram Charan and Jr NTR, respectively. It also stars Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn.
