SS Rajamouli is one of the finest filmmakers that the Indian film industry has ever produced. Though he has directed several masterpieces ever since beginning his directorial career, he shot to global fame after the massive success of Baahubali: The Beginning (2015) and Baahubali: The Conclusion (2017).
The ace filmmaker is presently awaiting the release of his next magnum opus, RRR, starring NTR Jr, Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn, and Alia Bhatt. After facing several setbacks, the film is now scheduled to hit the marquee on March 25, 2022.
Right after the release of RRR, Rajamouli is expected to commence work on his directorial which will feature superstar Mahesh Babu in the lead role. The latest we hear is that the film is a jungle-based adventure drama, set to be mounted on a huge scale. Renowned filmmaker Ram Gopal Verma took to Twitter and confirmed the same.

Rajamouli’s father K V Vijayendra Prasad is currently working on the script of the film. Dropping some interesting details during a press conference of RRR, Rajamouli had said, “I will be working with Mahesh Babu next but I am not thinking about this project now. All my focus is on RRR. I want to bring this film closer to the audience and am awaiting to know their response after they watch the film on the big screens. I will start thinking about Mahesh Babu’s project only after I am done with RRR.”
When asked about the film with Mahesh Babu, Rajamouli told a publication, “I am the kind of person who wants to keep all my focus on one film. Only after a film is completely done, only then I look into the next film. Also, I need to thank Mahesh. He was the first person to declutter the Pongal release. He was gracious enough and thought logically to create a positive atmosphere.”
