Fresh out of the record-shattering success of RRR (2022), Telugu star Ram Charan is looking forward to the release of his upcoming movie Acharya. The film, which is all set for a theatrical release on April 29, also stars his father Chiranjeevi.

During a media interaction on Sunday, Ram spoke to media about his upcoming film and expressed gladness over the fact that movies from the south are gaining popularity across the nation, besides doing well at the box office.

Speaking about his role in Acharya, Ram Charan says that he plays a character named Siddha, who is a strict follower of the virtue of non-violence. But things change after a conflict with the antagonist (played by Sonu Sood) pushes him towards an altogether different path.

"My character's initial length was only 15 minutes. It was eventually extended to 45 minutes. Siddha's character is one of the most unique roles I've ever played. You'll enjoy my scenes, especially those with my father, Chiranjeevi," he adds.

On professional front, Ram Charan is currently shooting for director S. Shankar film RC15, under the production of Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations. The movie also stars Kiara Advani.
