The Tamil Nadu government has, however, severely forbidden any milk shower over the enormous cut-outs of the stars, and it has instructed the police department to keep an eye out for its use during the ceremony. The 4 and 5 a.m. movie premieres have been postponed until after the Pongal celebrations by the Tamil Nadu government. All of the state's key locations are experiencing heavy traffic. In order to avoid any unpleasant incidents during the movie showings, the police department is maintaining a strict watch across the state from January 15 to January 18, when the Pongal celebration will take place.
