Family Star: Vijay Deverakonda And Mrunal Thakur Share Special Poster For Diwali!

Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur are poised to light up the screen in the Parasuram-directed ‘Family Star’. The film is intended to be a family entertainment, with Vijay Deverakonda playing a housewife.

To commemorate Diwali, the creators of ‘Family Star’ have released a new poster from the film, which features Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur. The onscreen couple may be seen igniting a firework while dressed in traditional attire. Mrunal looks lovely in a pink saree, while Vijay steals the show with a blue kurta and a moustache with a faint beard.

About ‘Family Star’:

‘Family Star’ is Vijay Deverakonda's second collaboration with filmmaker Parasuram, following their 2018 film ‘Geetha Govindam’, which starred Vijay's rumoured lover Rashmika Mandanna.

‘Family Star’ also marks Mrunal Thakur's first collaboration with Vijay Deverakonda, who appears to be playing his wife in this film. The first trailer for the film was released on YouTube last month and quickly went viral, thanks in part to Vijay's character saying "Airanevanchalaenti" in the video.

Furthermore, the film is anticipated to hit theatres on Sankranti next year, avoiding box office clashes with other films such as Mahesh Babu's ‘Guntur Kaaram’, Venkatesh Daggubati's ‘Saindhav,’ and Ravi Teja's ‘Eagle’.

About Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur’s Work front:

Mrunal Thakur was most recently seen in Raja Krishna Menon's Hindi flick ‘Pippa’. The biographical war film is based on the life of Captain Balram Singh Mehta, who fought on the eastern front during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 alongside his brothers.

Ishaan Khattar plays the lead in the film, while AR Rahman composed the music. On November 10, 2023, the military drama was released on Amazon Prime Video.

Mrunal will next be seen in the film ‘Hi Nanna’, in which he will co-star with Nani in the lead role. The film, directed by Shouryuv, will be released in theatres on December 7th. She will also appear in the Hindi film Pooja Meri Jaan.

Vijay Deverakonda, on the other hand, was most recently seen in the film Kushi, opposite Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Shiva Nirvana directed the romantic comedy flick. Furthermore, Vijay Deverakonda is now filming ‘VD12’ with Jersey famous director Gowtam Tinnanuri, with Sreeleela playing the protagonist. It is also Vijay Deverakonda's first collaboration with music director Anirudh Ravichander.
