Sivaji: The Boss (2007), directed by Shankar, and starring Rajinikanth, is one of the most memorable films of all time. June 15 marks the 15th anniversary of the film’s theatrical release. On this special occasion, Shankar paid a visit to Superstar Rajinikanth at his residence in Poes Garden, Chennai. They got together for a brief reunion and took a walk down memory lane.
Shankar took to Twitter to share a picture with the legendary actor. In the picture, superstar Rajnikanth is seen clad in a white kurta and dhoti whereas Shankar is sporting a grey polo and jeans. The filmmaker captioned the picture, "Elated to have met our Sivaji the Boss rajinikanth sir himself on this very memorable day marking #15yearsofSivaji Your Energy, Affection and Positive Aura made my day! (sic).”
Shankar collaborated with Rajinikanth for the first time in Sivaji: The Boss, and then again in Enthiran (2010) and 2.0 (2018).
Vivekh, Manivannan, Solomon Pappayya, Pattimandram Raja, MS Bhaskar, Uma, and Bose Venkat, among others, also appear in supporting roles alongside Rajinikanth and Shriya Saran in Sivaji: The Boss. AR Rahman composed the soundtrack for the film.
