Mahesh Babu has begun filming in Hyderabad for the film SSMB28, which director Trivikriam Srinivas is working on. The movie, which is anticipated to be an acting-directing hattrick for Mahesh Babu-Trivikriam Srinivas together, already has its digital rights purchased by OTT service Netflix for a staggering sum of Rs 81 crore.

It's the highest amount of money a Telugu movie has made from such a deal, according to sources close to the project. The contract stipulates that the movie's digital release will happen only 50 days after its theatrical debut. The female lead is played by Pooja Hegde, and the film is scheduled to be released in theatres in 2023. Haarika & Hassine Creations, S Radhakrishna (China Babu) will produce it. Editor Navin Nooli, art director AS Prakash, music director S Thaman, and cinematographer PS Vinod are further members of the team.
