Dhruva Natchathiram: ‘THESE’ Actors Were The FIRST Pick For Chiyaan Vikram’s Role In The Film!

Gautham Vasudev Menon, the director-actor, is preparing for his next film, 'Dhruva Natchathiram', starring Chiyaan Vikram. The espionage action-thriller film has been in the works for several years owing to Menon's financial difficulties, and it will eventually be released on November 24th.

In a recent interview with Cinema Express, the filmmaker said that he did not intend for Chiyaan Vikram to play the major role in the film. Menon had contacted Rajinikanth and Suriya to star in 'Dhruva Natchathiram' before casting Vikram, but both negotiations fell through before Vikram was cast.

Rajinikanth and Suriya was planned as lead cast in 'Dhruva Natchathiram':

Gautham Menon, the director, claimed that he first contacted Rajinikanth about playing the main role in 'Dhruva Natchathiram'. Menon altered the storyline to fit Rajinikanth's age range, and the actor expressed interest. However, for various reasons, the project featuring Rajinikanth did not come to fruition. Instead, the celebrity chose to work on ‘Kabali’, while Dhruva Natchathiram continued with Chiyaan Vikram in the starring role.

Menon first addressed Suriya about 'Dhruva Natchathiram'. Suriya, on the other hand, expressed reservations about an espionage thriller, citing the lack of established instances of the genre's success. That casting possibility also fell through due to Suriya's hesitation.

Suriya refused the lead part in this film for these reasons. According to rumours, Gautham Menon previously considered Suriya for the main part in his film ‘Ennai Nokki Paayum Thotta’ (ENPT), but he rejected, allowing the script to be picked up by Dhanush.

Furthermore, 'Dhruva Natchathiram' marks Chiyaan Vikram's debut cooperation with the filmmaker. Ritu Varma, R. Parthiban, Radhika Sarathkumar, Simran, and Vinayakan star in the film, with Harris Jayraj handling the musical tracks and compositions.
