Chiranjeevi welcomes Puri Jagannadh on the cast of Godfather

Starring megastar Chiranjeevi in the lead role, Godfather is one of the most-awaited films of Tollywood, which has been creating waves even before it was officially launched. The film is an official remake of the successful Malayalam-language political action thriller film Lucifer (2019), which starred Mohanlal in the lead role.

The latest update on the upcoming film is that well-known filmmaker Puri Jagannadh has joined the cast to play a special role. Interestingly, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is also doing a special cameo in the film.

Megastar Chiranjeevi welcomed Puri Jagannadh onboard with a heartfelt note. The actor dropped some photos on social media, which have now inflamed the internet.

“With dreams in his eyes, a young boy from Narsipatnam came to tinsel town to become an actor and played minor roles in one or two films. He went on to become one of the biggest directors. But his first dream should not remain unfulfilled. So, introducing my Puri Jagannadh in a special role.” the megastar wrote in the caption.

According to reports, filming for Godfather is going on in full swing. Recently, Salman Khan wrapped up a 15-day schedule with Chiranjeevi.

In addition to Chiranjeevi, Godfather also stars Nayanthara in the lead role. As per reports, she plays Chiranjeevi’s sister.
