Chiranjeevi and Allu Arjun donate ₹25 lakh each to Andhra Flood Relief

After Jr NTR and Mahesh Babu, Tollywood superstars Chiranjeevi and Allu Arjun have also donated ₹25 lakh each to Andhra Pradesh CM Relief Fund to help flood victims.

For the uninitiated, incessant rains have caused floods in the coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh. Over 44 people have lost their lives so far while many are missing. An Orange alert has been declared for heavy rains in regions including Prakasam, Nellore, Chittoor, and Kadapa.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has requested the Centre to sanction ₹1,000 crore for interim relief to the state. Several prominent celebrities from Tollywood have come forward to help people in these testing times.

Today, Allu Arjun also made his contribution of ₹25 lakh towards Andhra Pradesh CM Relief Fund. The Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo (2020) star took to Twitter to announce the same, “My heart goes out to the people of Andhra Pradesh who have been affected by the recent floods. I am making a contribution of ₹25 lakh towards AP CM Relief Fund to aid with the rehabilitation efforts.”

Megastar Chiranjeevi, who also contributed ₹25 lakhs, said, “Pained by the widespread devastation and havoc caused by floods and torrential rains in Andhra Pradesh. Making a humble contribution of ₹25 lacs towards Chief Minister Relief Fund to help aid relief work.”
