After 18 years of marriage, Aishwarya Rajinikanth and Dhanush declared their divorce in 2022. Although neither party gave a formal explanation, it was reported that irreconcilable disagreements were a key factor. Fans were taken aback by the announcement, especially given the two directors' on- and off-screen friendship.
Although there were recent rumours that the two were reconciling, a source close to Aishwarya promptly debunked them. According to reports, neither of them wanted to get a divorce until the other desired to remarry. It is also said that they have agreed to co-parent their boys, Yatra and Linga.
‘Lal Salaam’ is a sports drama film directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth. After ‘3’ (2011) and ‘Vai Raja Vai’ (2015), this is Aishwarya Rajinikanth's third directorial effort. The film will have Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in the key roles, with the former playing a cricketer. It was also stated that Rajinikanth would appear in the film as a cameo with Kapil Dev.
AR Rahman provided the film's music, and Vishnu Rangasamy operated the camera. Pravin Bhaskar serves as the film's editor.
Arun Matheswaran commands ‘Captain Miller’. Dhanush is expected to play the title character in the film, which also stars Shiva Rajkumar, Priyanka Mohan, Sundeep Kishan, Nassar, Vinoth Kishan, and others.
