Amazon Prime Video obtains streaming rights to Chiranjeevi’s Acharya

Acharya also features Ram Charan and Pooja Hegde in extended cameos. It is a Koratala Siva directorial.

Tollywood superstar Chiranjeevi, who was last seen in Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy (2019), is presently busy filming his next Acharya, directed by Koratala Siva. The film also features Kajal Aggarwal in the lead role.

According to the latest reports, the makers of the much-awaited film have finally found their streaming partner in Amazon Prime Video. Yes, Amazon Prime Video has nabbed the post-theatrical digital streaming rights to Acharya.


As per reports, Acharya will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video weeks after its theatrical release on February 4, 2022. Touted to be a rustic action-drama with a social message, the film is currently in the final leg of production. It went on floors in January 2020. Following the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic in India, filming had to be halted till June 2021.

In addition to Chiranjeevi and Kajal AggarwalAcharya also features Ram Charan and Pooja Hegde in extended cameos. The film is produced by Matinee Entertainment and Konidela Production Company. Don’t forget to catch it in cinemas February 4, 2022.

Chiranjeevi also has Mohan Raja’s Godfather and Meher Ramesh’s Bhola Shankar. While Godfather is the remake of the Malayalam film Lucifer (2019), Bhola Shankar is the remake of 2016 Tamil film Theri.
