Prior to the August 31 release of his new movie Cobra, Tamil star Vikram is actively promoting it. At a press conference in Hyderabad, he was questioned by a reporter about the Boycott Bollywood movement, which purportedly had an impact on the box office success of Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha and the Akshay Kumar-starring Raksha Bandhan.

He did not answer the delicate query. He humorously claimed that he was unaware of the meaning of the phrase. Vikram said, “I don’t know what language you are speaking. What do you mean by that (boycott)? I know what’s a boy. I very well know what’s a girl. I know very, very well, what’s a cot. But, I don’t know what’s a boycott.”

Vikram appears in Cobra, an action thriller, in approximately 25 distinct avatars. The cast also features Miya George, Roshan Mathew, Sarjano Khalid, Mirnalini Ravi, and Srinidhi Shetty, who became well-known for her role in the Yash-led KGF series. Irfan Pathan, a former Indian cricketer, will make his acting debut in Cobra in a negative role. An estimated Rs 90 crore was spent on the production of The Biggie. Red Giant Movies, the production company behind movies like Sivakarthikeyan's Don and the action thriller Mankatha starring Ajith Kumar, will distribute it. On August 31, Cobra will premiere in Tamil and Telugu.
