After making profits at BO, Vijay's Beast all set to stream on OTT platforms
Thalapathy Vijay-starrer action drama Beast (2022) is all set to make its digital premiere on the popular streaming platform Netflix as well as Sun NXT, the OTT platform of Sun Pictures, which had produced the movie.
The film will be available in multiple languages, including Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi on Netflix. It will be available for viewing on the OTT platform from May 11 onwards.
While Beast opened to great response in theatres, the negative reviews from critics hampered its run at the box office. Also, the film had to face a stiff competition from Yash-starrer KGF: Chapter 2 (2022) which proved to be a record-breaking success. However, Beast managed to turn things to its advantage and earn a profit for the makers; banking majorly on the superstar image of Tamil actor Vijay.
As per a report by Cinetrak, Beast has successfully managed to collect Rs 170 crore in India during its four-week run in theatres. A tweet by Cinetrak read, " actorvijay‘s #Beast in India aims a near finish at ₹170 crore, after ‘fourth weekend’ film grossed ₹169.5 crore domestically with Tamil Nadu at ₹120 crore aprx so far.

Notably, Beast also stars Pooja Hegde, Shine Tom Chacko, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, VTV Ganesh, Shaji Chen, Aparna Das, Sathish Krishnan among others.
The plot of the action film witnesses a terrorist attack at a shopping mall, in which Veera, played by Thalapathy Vijay- an Indian RAW agent is also present. The officials outside manage to establish contact with him, as he strives to safely rescue the civilians.
