director Om Raut and actress Kriti Sanon visited the Lord Venkateswara temple in Tirupati On June 7,2023. This was one day after the final 'Adipurush' teaser received an overwhelmingly positive response from fans. a video of the director kissing the actress on the cheek as he bid her farewell outside the temple, went viral.

Some users on social media had negative reactions to the deed. Now, the chief priest of Telangana's Chilkur Balaji Temple criticised the Adipurush director for kissing Kriti Sanon in the video. He said, "This is a condemnable act. Even a husband and wife do not go there (temple) together. You can go to a hotel room and do it. Your behaviour is like insulting Ramayan and Goddess Sita.”

Ramesh Naidu Nagothu, the state secretary of the BJP, also reacted to the viral video and urged people to refrain from such activities in a location as revered as the Tirupati Temple.

The tweet was then removed by the BJP secretary. However, a picture of the message quickly became popular on social media.

This month, on June 16,2023 it will be released in theatres in the following languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.
