The much-anticipated movie 'Adipurush,' which was supposed to bring the Indian epic Ramayana to the big screen, was met with a lot of excitement and great hopes. People expected a gem when Prabhas from 'Baahubali' joined the project and the huge budget of 500 crores or more. But the movie's biggest mistake wasn't just its bad visual effects, bad dialogue, or questionable acting. The biggest mistake was trying to tell a story without the magic touch of a great storyteller.

The producers were in a good position because everyone in India knew the story of Ramayana and they had a lot of money to work with. All they needed were people with the right skills to make the idea come true. Om Raut, who directed the award-winning movie 'Tanhaji,' was brought on. But people had different thoughts about the VFX in 'Tanhaji,' and fans hoped that this mistake wouldn't be made again in 'Adipurush.'

But when the movie came out, it hit a lot of bumps in the road, and people who were excited at first turned angry at the people who made it. It makes you wonder if Ajay Devgn really did direct 'Tanhaji' behind the scenes.

To tell the story of Ramayana again, one needs to be a great storyteller who cares about people's beliefs, emotions, and feelings. Every Indian feels something when they hear Ramayana, and Lord Rama is a beloved hero. With a budget of more than 500 crores, it wasn't hard to find talented people who could play the parts in this great story. Already, other people are working on similar stories, which shows that 'Adipurush' isn't the version we need.

Over time, books, pictures, and buildings have changed how people think Lord Rama and the Ramayana should look and feel. 'Adipurush' lost the fight when it decided to become more modern and move away from these long-held beliefs.

To do Ramayana justice, you need great actors, good visual effects, a strong emotional link, real hand-to-hand fight scenes, and a good story. There are Indian filmmakers who have learned the art of telling stories, making fiction seem real, and making large-scale productions that keep audiences interested.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali is known for making visually beautiful films like 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' and bringing history to life in films like 'Padmaavat' and 'Bajirao Mastani.' He knows how important it is to have the right actors, good dialogue, and the right clothes.

With films like "Baahubali" and "RRR," SS Rajamouli mixes fantasy with history, myths, and epics to create a unique cinematic experience.

With recent films like 'Ponniyin Selvan' and classics like 'Bombay' and 'Guru,' Mani Ratnam shows that he is a great storyteller.

People who made 'Adipurush,' should have given a story like Ramayana to one of the above-mentioned legends or put in more time and effort to do thorough study and respectful work. 'Adipurush' has a lot of problems that go beyond the VFX and dialogue, which hurts the movie's promise in the end.
