Dipika Chikhlia, who is well-known for her role as "Sita" in Ramanand Sagar's 'Ramayana', has just put out a video about the controversy surrounding the movie 'Adipurush'. Fans criticised the movie 'Adipurush' after it came out in theatres because Lord Ram and Lord Hanuman were said to say some cringe-worthy things.
After seeing the movie, Twitter users asked the people who made it to re-broadcast Ramanand Sagar's famous 'Ramayana' on DD National. Dipika Chikhlia, who played "Sita" in the epic series and became famous for it, took the chance to share a video that she says is in reaction to public demand.
A few days ago, fans wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to ask that the epic show be shown as "eye-cleansing" and "national detoxification." Dipika Chikhlia poses for the camera on Instagram while getting ready for her part as "Sita." She wrote in the video's description, "This post is due to popular demand... I'm thankful for all the love I've always gotten for the part I played... As Sita Ji, I couldn't have asked for anything more." After her post, Internet users said they were disappointed in 'Adipurush' and said that no one could take her place.
A person said, "Ma'am, just your reel will be better than the whole movie Adipurush," and another said, "This reel of yours will be better than the whole movie Adipurush." Like if you agree." Another user wrote "Aapke jesi Sita Mata na to kabhi huyi thi or nahi kabhi hogi…”
In an interview, Arun Govil, who played Lord Ram in Ramanand Sagar's 'Ramayana,' also gave his opinion on the movie. He called it a "Hollywood cartoon film." He asked why Lord Ram and Sita should be shown in a different way, saying, "What was wrong with the way we have all known and loved them for so long?" Why did they have to change? Maybe the team doesn't have enough faith in Lord Rama and Sita, and that's why they made these changes.
