We all know A.R. Rahman is in Goa these days. The ace singer-composer is not on vacations or for IFFI, but he’s is busy with Mani Ratnam 's upcoming film. Rahman has already started working on the project. A close source confirmed the news and said, "Yes, Rahman and Mani sir are in Goa to compose songs for the film. Their schedule is all set to be wrapped up in a few days and the team is likely to begin shooting for the project by January, next year. The team will announce the title and the cast officially by this year-end."

Rahman and Ratnam have collaborated on a total of 13 films. 12 out of the 13 films have earned either a Filmfare or a National Award to Rahman. The duo has been working together for more than 2 decades now. The upcoming film will be a multi-starrer which features Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil, Simbu, Jyotika and Aishwarya Rajesh in the lead.

Apart from this film, Rahman will give music to 13 other films which are scheduled to release in 2018 and 2019.
