28 years ago, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Ram Gopal Verma , the iconic actor-director duo collaborated for the first for the movie ‘Siva’ (1989). It was the debut of the maverick RGV in the industry. ‘Siva’ turned out to be a huge hit and garnered acclaim and accolades both the actor as well as the director. The duo then did many movies but never ever collaborated again. But there’s news of both again joining the hands for the new project, and it’s confirmed. Early this morning actor Nagarjuna confirmed the news by tweeting, “Super excited to start RGV’s cop drama with his intense stylized action on nov20/wanted to announce it myself but the media beat me to it”.

The actor later uploaded a picture which read, “In 1988 when I agreed to do Shiva with RGV, lots of people were shocked and he proved them wrong. 2017, lot of people are happy, lot are shocked. Let’s rock Ramu”.

While the duo is busy with their upcoming projects, we hope the untitled cop drama by them will surely recreate the magic of ‘Siva’ which they created 28 years back.
