The upcoming multi-starrer of Mani Ratnam has been attracting a lot of attention even before mounting the shooting floor. The film is in news because of its ensemble star cast. Actors like Jyothika , Simbu, Vijay Sethupathi and Aravind Swamy are already doing the film and the latest we hear that seasoned actress Jayasudha has also given her nod to play an important role in the movie. “There is one important role in the film and Mani Ratnam specially asked Jayasudha to do it. The actress agreed and this is her next Tamil film after Oopiri,” says a source.

Reportedly, Mani himself approached the actress and asked her to be a part of the project. The actress immediately agreed to come onboard. Jayasudha appeared in many Tamil films earlier as a heroine, but she achieved success in Telugu cinema. She has not signed any project after the sad demise of her husband six months back. It is going to be her first project after the incident.

The film is all set to start rolling from January next year.
