Popular actress Ramya Krishnan , who is now a familiar face across the country after the humongous success of Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion , was being considered to play a pivotal role in Maruthi Dasari’s next film titled Shailaja Reddy Alludu which stars Akkineni Naga Chaitnaya as the leading man. The regular shoot of the film is expected to begin from February once Chaitnaya wraps up his next Savyasachi. The latest update on the project is that the makers are now planning to rope in Sridevi as they want to release the film in many other languages also and the veteran actress can just add more weightage to their venture.

The sources close to film unit say that the team asked Akkineni Nagarjuna, who has worked with Sridevi in films like Mr. Bechara and Govinda Govinda, to talk to the actress and get her onboard. Now it remains to be seen if Sridevi will give her consent to star in the film or not.

Interestingly, SS Rajamouli had first offered the role of Sivagami in the Baahubali series to Sridevi , but when she turned down the offer, Ramya Krishnan came onboard and the rest is history.
