Young actor Akhil Akkineni took a dive in films with the release of the 2016 film Akhil. Despite being promoted heavily, the film fell flat at the box office. After the dismal performance of his debut film, Akhil starred in Hello which turned out to be a moderate success at the cash counter. After the release of Hello, Akhil has been busy listening to new scripts. It seems like the young actor has finally locked one script for his next film. And if sources are to be believed, the film might be helmed by none other than Ram Gopal Varma .

As per the reports, Akkineni has recently approached RGV's assistants and asked them for a good script for his next film. As he really liked a story narrated by an assistant, Akhil expressed his desire that Ramu helms it. We hear that after some initial hesitation, the director has agreed to call the shots.

Currently, Ram Gopal Varma is busy with his film with Akhil's father Nagarjuna . He will start work on Akhil's only after completing his current project.
