In fact, Rakul made the statement out of great respect for the versatile actress who has been ruling the roost for a long time now.

During the success meet of her film Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru, when Rakul was asked if she aspires to become an actress as successful as Nayanthara in Kollywood, Rakul politely retorted, "Don't compare me with Nayanthara, she is a senior actress to me. She has played many challenging roles, carried entire films on her shoulders, and won box office as well as critics. I have yet to play such challenging roles."

Starring Karthi, Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru has turned out to be a critical and commercial success for all the stakeholders involved. Meanwhile, Rakul is in talks to sign her third film with megastar Ram Charan . Her next Hindi film, Aiyaary with Sidharth Malhotra is also set for release on Republic Day.
