After opting out of Bollywood film Fanney Khan with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan , actor R. Madhavan has joined hands with Naga Chaitanya for an upcoming Telugu action-thriller film, titled Savyasachi. Talking to a news agency, a source mentions, "Madhavan has been offered a very prominent role. He really liked the script and has already given his principal nod. Very soon, he will officially sign on the dotted line."

Madhavan, whose last film, Tamil crime-thriller Vikram Vedha did fantastic business at the ticket window, will make his first Telugu film appearance in a full-length role. He has appeared in a cameo in 2010 Telugu film Om Shanti.

There is a buzz in the industry that Madhavan will play an antagonist in the movie. Talking about his role in the movie, another source says, "It's definitely the kind of role he hasn't played so far. It's too early to talk about the type of character he will be essaying."

To be directed by Chandoo Mondeti, the film will mount floors from October 16, post Naga Chaitanya's much-talked-about marriage, which is slated to take place on 6th October.
