It goes without saying that Mani Ratnam is one of the finest filmmakers Indian cinema has ever seen. Though the majority of his work remains for South Indian film industry, his repertoire is also rich with several critically and commercially successful Hindi films. The award-winning directed last directed Tamil romantic film Kaatru Veliyidai, featuring Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari . Post the release of Kaatru Veliyidai, speculations about his next project have been rife all around. And now, opting for a unique way, the filmmaker has released a poster featuring the sketches of the cast and crew of his forthcoming project.

Along with directing, Mani Ratnam will also produce the Tamil film for his production banner, Madras Talkies. The yet-to-be-titled project will feature Simbhu, Vijay Sethupathi and Arvind Swamy in key roles. Besides aforementioned Tamil actors, the film also features Malayalam actor Fahad Fassil in an important role. Jyothika and Aishwarya Rajesh will play the female leads in the movie. AR Rahman has been roped in to score the music for the film.
