As director gave further details on the sequel on the success party of Shubh Mangal Saavdhan , “The feedback we got was positive. So a sequel will definitely happen, though we don't know when exactly it is going to happen since I was making the Tamil version then I had thought of an idea for the sequel. I think it will be a lot of fun, but it is only an idea as of now. There is no script but already had a story. We were waiting for the audience's reaction if they wanted to listen to the next story!"

The film Shubh Mangal Saavdhan was a pre-wedding drama which added the angle of male erectile dysfunction and the anxiety associated with it to the story and had many moments in the film which tickled audience in the theatre.
