It’s in the news that director Puja Bedi , daughter of producer Bobby Bedi , wants to make a biopic on entrepreneur Shahnaz Husain. The makers of the movie wanted to cast our globally famous Desi Girl, Priyanka Chopra , to play the lead, but due to her busy schedule and unavailable dates, the makers approached another beauty queen. Priyanka, who is busy shooting for her upcoming ‘ABC’s’ hit TV series ‘Quantico’ season 3, has a very tight schedule in the coming months. So the makers of the movie shifted their gears towards Aishwarya Rai Bachchan , whom they feel can portray Shahnaz’s character.

Now if the sources are to be relied upon then the director as well as the writer Kamlesh Pandey , believes Aishwarya will do justice to the Shahnaz’s part. Shahnaz has also expressed a keen desire to have Aishwarya on board. As the writer confirms, “Aishwarya was always our first choice. We want the tehzeeb and adab of the character to reflect…. The vocabulary certainly could not be that of the Facebook and Twitter generation. Aishwarya is perfect, keeping in mind all these prerequisites,” adds the writer.

Kamlesh, who has worked with Aishwarya in the 2015 movie ‘ Jazbaa ’, also adds, “She has immense potential in comparison to the opportunities that have come her way. Bollywood has been too preoccupied with Aishwarya Rai’s beauty to challenge the actor in her.”

It will be a pleasure to eyes to see a beauty queen on screen portraying the role of the lady who completely revolutionized the concept of beauty in a traditional society like India.
