There have been speculations galore about the casting of Sanjay Leela Bhansali ’s upcoming film Gustakhiyan. Recently, the whole industry was buzzing with the news of Abhishek Bachchan walking out of the project at the last minute. But contrary to rumors, it is not Abhishek but Priyanka Chopra who has decided to bow out of the movie and has informed the filmmaker about her decision.

Said to be based on the real-life romance of literary giants, Sahir Ludhianvi and Amrita Pritam, Gustakhiyan has been in the news for its casting since long. Earlier, it was being reported that Shah Rukh Khan was approached for the role of Sahir Ludhianvi. But once he declined the offer, the makers got in touch with Irrfan Khan . However, Irrfan claimed that he was never approached for any such role.

Then reports started doing the rounds that the makers were looking for the ideal actor to play ‘Sahir’ post Abhishek walked out of the movie. But since it is clear now that Abhishek is very much part of the movie, the makers will have to continue their search, not for the lead actor but lead actress.
