There was a huge traffic jam outside Shahrukh's house Mannat and thousands of people were anxiously waiting to see a glimpse of him. They thought that since police is visiting his house, he would come out to receive the summon copy. But it did not happen and the people outside his house had to go back in disappointment.

Police from Rajasthan has reached Mumbai to give summon copy to Shah Rukh Khan so that he could appear in the court on 26th May in person.

He was seen smoking in cricket stadium in Jaipur during an IPL match on 8th April and Anand Singh Rathore had filed a complaint against him with Jyoti Nagar Police Station.

It should be noted that smoking cigarette in public is an offence and according to Rathore, celebrities should not smoke openly because it will cause bad effect on their fans who too may start following their act.

The court has sent summons to Shahrukh to appear in the court on 26th May and a constable Chitar Mal reached Mumbai with the summon copy to give it to him. The constable first reached Bandra Police Station and with their help he reached Mannat. But Shahrukh was not at home because he already left for Pune to watch match between his IPL 5 team and Delhi Daredevils.

Finding Shahrukh absent, the summons was given to his relatives at home and their signatures were taken. Thereafter the police returned back.

According to the summons, he has to appear in the court on 26th May, 2012. If he fails to do so, bailable arrest warrant may be issued against him.
