    'Welcome Back' to lock horns with 'Bombay Velvet'

    John Abraham starrer 'Welcome Back' is geared up to release on Christmas 2014, thereby standing as a competitor with Ranbir Kapoor starrer 'Bombay Velvet'.

    Seven years after the release of Akshay Kumar , Katrina Kaif starrer ' Welcome ', the sequel of the film ' Welcome Back ' featuring John Abraham will hit the screens in the year 2014 with Christmas around the corner, reportedly.

    The recent news update revealed that ' Welcome Back ' is likely to lock horns with the film ' Bombay Velvet ' featuring Ranbir Kapoor . A close source expressed the opinion regarding this by saying that "There is a good rationale behind that. After all, the season of Christmas stands for wholesome family entertainers, as has been evidenced by the blockbuster success of ' Dhoom 3 '. Seven years ago, ' Welcome ' too had released in the weekend (21st December, 2007) leading to Christmas. In fact back then too there was a major competition in the form of Aamir Khan 's ' Taare Zameen Par '." In 2007, Akshay Kumar starrer ' Welcome ' yielded more moolah than ' Taare Zameen Par '.

    It seems this time John Abraham is all set to lock horns with Ranbir Kapoor on the celluloid!
