'Welcome Back' to lock horns with 'Bombay Velvet'

Seven years after the release of Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif starrer 'Welcome', the sequel of the film 'Welcome Back' featuring John Abraham will hit the screens in the year 2014 with Christmas around the corner, reportedly.

The recent news update revealed that 'Welcome Back' is likely to lock horns with the film 'Bombay Velvet' featuring Ranbir Kapoor. A close source expressed the opinion regarding this by saying that "There is a good rationale behind that. After all, the season of Christmas stands for wholesome family entertainers, as has been evidenced by the blockbuster success of 'Dhoom 3'. Seven years ago, 'Welcome' too had released in the weekend (21st December, 2007) leading to Christmas. In fact back then too there was a major competition in the form of Aamir Khan's 'Taare Zameen Par'." In 2007, Akshay Kumar starrer 'Welcome' yielded more moolah than 'Taare Zameen Par'.

It seems this time John Abraham is all set to lock horns with Ranbir Kapoor on the celluloid!
