We will meet Ranveer Singh 'The Rapper' in Gully Boy directed by Zoya Akhtar!

One of the most energetic superstars of the current generation of B-town Ranveer Singh, is known for his funny antics and zestful persona. But besides that, he timely proved that when it comes to delivering a stellar performance, he is bang on. Over his short career, he tried his hands on many subjects and things, but now he is all set to flaunt his rapping skills. Apparently, in his upcoming film, Gully Boy, in which he is a street rapper, he is on board to play the lead role. Hence he has to vocalise his own rap verse, which is a cake-walk for Ranveer!

It wouldn’t be first time or new thing for Ranveer as he has seen performing rap portions on award nights and live shows. So it is quite obvious, director of Gully Boy, Zoya Akhtar chose him to play lead along with Alia Bhatt, who has a separate fan base for her singing skills. And as the sources revealed, Zoya Akhtar gave Ranveer full freedom to write his own rap pieces and get them composed as per his instructions. It would be interesting to see a full-fledged Rap-battle between either Ranveer vs. other rappers, or against Alia!

It is also good to see, film makers and huge movie stars are taking initiatives to tap different level of subjects which would have thought to be "Non-Bollywood-ish" and completely unfeasible. As per the early reports, Zoya Akhtar seems to have nailed the casting of her leading pair for Gully Boy, now the anticipation is bid upon rest of the casting.
