It seems Bollywood filmmakers are trying to follow the trend of making biopic films based on inspirational personalities! Director of Chocolate: Deep Dark Secrets , Vivek Agnihotri has started pre-production and casting for his next project which will be based on the life of former Prime Minister of India, Lal Bahadur Shastri! Although Vivek had announced the project in January this year on Twitter, and now he expresses his excitement to start the journey on Shastri's 113th birth anniversary!

As the above tweet suggested, this film will be focusing on an event of his mysterious death in Tashkent and narration would also likely to include other events that eventually led to the assassination of Shastri! Despite going ahead with the detailed research on the case, Vivek chose the option to crowd-source the ideas for a film, where a concerned person with theory and the proof will be considered as research work!

About the mysterious death of Lal Bahadur Shastri, there were many facts that made people curious and hence some even came up with their own set of conspiracy theories, claiming it was an assassination. Some of the conspiracy theories that point out to the factors like, the possible involvement of KGB and CIA, witnesses who were also killed in suspicious circumstances and there were even some speculations of tampered post-mortem reports, and so on. All these theories do make a good recipe of a gripping suspense film and keeping the track record of Vivek Agnihotri , the project is in safe hands!
