Farah Khan 's much-talked about upcoming venture ' Happy New Year ' is paving the way to become a mega hit in every possible way even prior to its release. After roping in Sajid Khan and Malaika Arora Khan , Farah had reportedly decided to feature the filmmaker Anurag Kashyap and the music composer Vishal Dadlani to play themselves as reality show judges in her film ' Happy New Year '.

As per the reports, Farah once met Anurag at Mehboob studios and she suggested him to feature in one of her comedies, as Kashyap has been only associated with the dark cinema yet. Farah said that "I was looking for someone to play a director and promptly offered him the role. He was supposed to write ' Main Hoon Na ', but that didn't work out. I haven't worked with him before." Talking about the cameos of Malaika, Sajid, Anurag and Vishal, the director Farah stated that "When we were filming the scenes, the two were overacting so much that we couldn't hold our laughter." However, the day proved unlucky for the lead hero Shah Rukh Khan , as he got hospitalized on the same day due to an injury.
