It is a known fact that Ranveer Singh has immersed himself truly, madly and deeply in the role of Alauddin Khilji in the upcoming ‘ Padmavati ’. He has been shooting for it for more than a year now. The release of the film is not even a month away and the actor is still busy shooting. But according to reliable sources, his parts are done today, the source added, “Ranveer was the first one to start shooting the film. He is the last one to finish shooting. It has been an all-consuming experience for Ranveer and he wraps up shoot today.” This shoot of Ranveer turned out to be the longest shoot schedule of his career.

The source further added, “Ranveer has a jam-packed schedule now. He has to finish all his pending commitments. He hasn’t been able to do those due to ‘Padmavati’ shooting. He will be flying off to LA on the 6th for a mega ad shoot and then he flies straight to Ahmedabad for an event with the star cast of his film on the 11th.”

Ranveer Singh also updated the news on Twitter and wrote: “And it's a wrap! Goodbye Alauddin. 1 year and a few weeks later, I bid thee farewell. May your restless soul find its peace... #Khilji”

Helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali , ‘ Padmavati ’ features Shahid Kapoor , Ranveer Singh , Deepika Padukone , Jim Sarbh and Aditi Rao Hydari in the pivotal roles and the film is slated to release in both 2D and 3D on 1st December 2017.
