She will play a robust Punjabi housewife having a bizarre fashion sense in the movie. Ghanchakkar is a quirky comic movie made by Rajkumar Gupta .

Vidya expresses that she had a great fun while playing a character 'Nitu Bhatia' in Ghanchakkar . Nitu is a stout Punjabi housewife whose sense of fashion is eccentric. She is sort of that types of women who exercise for one day and compensate for it by eating oily, fatty food.

Vidya's bizarre look has been designed by famous costume designer Subarna Rai Chaudhari. Subarna did lots of hard work in designing an appropriate look of the need of the character. Nitu's apparels are totally weird and sometimes wacky. But thats the need of the character.

Ghanchakkar is produced by UTV Motion Pictures starring Emraan Hashmi opposite Vidya Balan . The film will be released on 28th June.
