    Vidya To Be Honoured With A Doctorate

    An education institution wishes to honour Vidya Balan with a Doctorate degree.

    Actress Vidya Balan is often praised for her remarkable contribution to the Indian film industry and has been rewarded with many prestigious awards. Impressed by her work, an Ahmadabad based University wishes to honour Vidya with a Doctorate Degree today i.e. on June 1. The institution has also named a scholarship after her name.

    The actress has been given the opportunity to nominate one girl student every year for the scholarship and Vidya also seems to be interested in the initiative as it supports unprivileged girl students to pursue higher education. The lady who is known to perform women-centric films feels overwhelmed by this honour and feels it's truly humbling.
