Vidya Balan will be seen essaying the yesteryear actress Geeta Bali in the upcoming film 'Ek Albela'. Produced under the banner Kimaya Motion Pictures by Monish Babre, 'Ek Albela' will have an expensive set designed by ' Ram Leela ' set designer Baban Adagale.

Directed by Shekhar Sartandel, the film 'Ek Albela' is a tribute to the legendary actor Bhagan Dada for his valuable contribution to the Hindi cinema. It will explore the Mumbai from 1930 to 1951 era. Baban Adagale is an eminent art director whose earlier works include creating sets for the films like ' Ram Leela ', ' Raanjhanaa ', ' Rowdy Rathore ', ' Dabangg ' among others. The film 'Ek Albela' will showcase Bombay before and after independence.

For the first time, this much expensive set has been created for a Marathi flick. The set is of around Rs 1 crore, reportedly. A source stated "Producer Dr Monish Babre does not comprise on any quality look and feel of the film."
