Vidya Balan's Begum Jaan gets an A certificate from the CBFC board

BollywoodMDB reported our readers earlier that actress Vidya Balan will be next seen in a lead role in the upcoming movie Begum Jaan, produced by Mahesh Bhatt. The film is a remake of the critically acclaimed film Rajkahini, which is a tale of a group of sex workers who try to protect their home, a brothel from the powerful.

The latest update regarding the movie is that the film has been passed with an A certificate from the CBFC board and is passed with no cuts. Director Srijit Mukherjee is happy with the decision, as per the sources.

Along with Vidya Balan, Begum Jaan also stars Gauahar Khan, Pallavi Sharda, Mishti, Ila Arun among others. The film also has a cameo appearance of veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah.
