There is a huge buzz about the upcoming film 2.0 starring megastar Rajinikanth and superstar Akshay Kumar in the lead. 2.0 is one of the most talked about film and is touted to be and extravagant sci-fi where in both the lead stars have donned a never seen before avatar. This is a super expensive film and the makers are targeting a global audience, hence they are promoting it globally! About the upcoming music launch event, it is going to take place in Dubai on October 27, 2017.

A close source revealed: “We are not supposed to talk about the event at all. Yes, it is being held at the Burj Khalifa and yes, Rahman is performing. Rajini Sir and Akshay Sir are also expected to take to the stage for a ‘duo-logue’ on working together. In addition, there will be audio-visuals of the film’s songs.”

2.0 is a huge film that will be released in 15 languages. BollywoodMDB had earlier reported that several events have been lined up for the film. After the music launch, the makers will launch its teaser in Hyderabad in the month of November. The official trailer launch is scheduled in Chennai in the month of December. Promotions are planned globally with a hot air balloon designed by Lyca Productions. This parachute will be heading to London, Dubai, Australia, Europe and some South-East Asian countries in the coming months, India is its final destination.

All the lead stars are excited about the events that are lined up including the music launch. Amy Jackson Tweeted: “The countdown has begun! I’m looking forward to meeting you guys in Dubai on Friday for #2Point0 @arrahman concert!”

Directed by S. Shankar, the film is jointly written by S. Shankar and B. Jeyamohan. 2.0 has been scheduled to release on 25 January 2018.
