Umesh Shukla made his name for directing satire comical drama like OMG Oh My God! And also light hearted comedy like All The Best, to entertain masses for quite a long time. Although being busy working with Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor on the film adaption of Gujarati play, 102 Not Out, Umesh Shukla has also been assigned to direct a remake of a Korean movie titled Miracle in Cell No 7, which was a blockbuster hit in 2013.

Internationally acclaimed production house Kross Pictures would be working in association with Indian producers Utpal Acharya and Ashish Wagh to produce the untitled remake of Korean classic. This would be Kross Productions’ second movie produced in Bollywood market previously made TE3N, directed by Ribhu Dasgupta and even prep to invest heavy output of 500 crores in producing films, remakes, and web series.

The story of Miracle in Cell No 7 revolves around a mentally challenged man, who was accused of murder crime and sentenced to imprisonment and how this the character change the otherwise hostile conditions within prison inmates and how in return inmates planned to smuggle his daughter in prison facility is the story of Miracle in Cell No 7. It would be interesting to see Indian adaptation of this heart-warming story.
