This is how much Varun Dhawan has hiked his fees by!

Varun Dhawan, who made his debut in Bollywood 5 years back, is an actor of his own unique league. The actor gave two super hits this year, taking his tally to 9 consecutive hits. No other actor has managed to achieve this feat. Varun, who charges around 8 crores per film, has now hiked his fees. He has upped his price apparently by a good Rs. 5 crores. A source close to the actor says, “Varun is currently the most commercially advantaged actor of his generation. None of his peers have his blameless success ratio. He is a star going on to superstar. Ranveer Singh is the closest rival to Varun. And Ranveer was paid less than his market price for his three films with his mentor Sanjay Leela Bhansali.”

It is believed that it was Varun’s mentor, Karan Johar, who suggested him to raise his fees. Sources say Varun who was charging Rs 8 crores up till now will take home 13 crores now. Well, we feel, whatever the actor has achieved so far in such a short time, there's nothing wrong if he demands this price.

Varun will be next seen in Shoojit Sircar’s ‘October’, which will be a thriller drama. Apart from this, the actor has also been signed opposite Anushka Sharma for the first time in director Sharat Katariya’s ‘Sui Dhaaga’.
