These Bollywood movies to compete with each other along with Hollywood’s The Mummy!

Bollywood has witnessed several movie clashes at the box-office in the past affecting the business of the makers of the clashing films. Although one film is seen over the other, they both tend to eat up each other’s audience at some level. And, when the clash is with a Hollywood biggie, the business is further affected. Such is the case of the upcoming Bollywood films Behen Hogi Teri and Raabta that are clashing with Universal’s The Mummy.

Behen Hogi Teri is a rom-com that stars Shruti Haasan and Rajkummar Rao in the lead. The quirky title and the promotional outings are creating a buzz. While, Raabta, starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon, is a narrative that transcends between a modern-day tale to a period love story. Both these films are not only clashing with one another both also with the Hollywood biggie The Mummy at the box-office.

The Mummy stars Tom Cruise along with Courtney B. Vance, Sofia Boutella, Annabelle Wallis and Jake Johnson. The film explores the horror-adventure-action genre where an ancient princess of Egypt whose destiny was unjustly taken during her era returns to revenge in the present day and sweeps the streets of London.

It will be interesting to see how the films fare at the box-office front. The Mummy which comes from a strong franchise will affect the business of the two Bollywood films or vice versa will be known on June 9!
