Starring Zareen Khan and Gautam Rode in lead roles, Aksar 2 has created a lot of pre-release buzz among the audience. The trailer of the film has received an unprecedented response by everyone and the film is expected to translate the same into footfalls upon its release. But if you were eager to watch the movie in theatres on 6th October, you will have to wait a little longer. Actually, Aksar 2 was all set to release on 6th October but, if the latest reports are to be believed, the film has been postponed and will not release on its pre-scheduled date.

Chirag Bajaj , the producer of the film, has confirmed the news saying, “Yes, we have decided to push the release of Aksar 2 and are yet to finalize a new release date. We are expecting to lock the new release date later today.”

When asked about the reason behind delaying the movie, Bajaj said, “If you look at the date of October 6 it is rather cluttered with multiple films in Hindi, English, Marathi and other languages hitting screens. We want to avoid releasing our film in this clutter and hence have decided on pushing the release to a clearer day to help the film.”

Surprisingly, Julie 2 , another erotic thriller previously slated to release on 6th October, has also been postponed due to a case of copyright infringement.

Also starring Abhinav Shukla , Mohit Madaan and cricketer Sreesanth in important roles, Aksar 2 is a sequel to 2006’s highly successful suspense thriller Aksar which starred Emraan Hashmi , Dino Morea , and Udita Goswami . Like the original film, its sequel is also directed by Anant Mahadevan .
