The shooting of Simmba to commence in April once Ranveer finishes Gully Boy!

In his 7 years long career, actor Ranveer Singh has appeared in a variety of movies where he has challenged himself by doing diverse roles. Be it action, drama, singing or dancing, the actor has done it all and now, he is all set to bring all these in one movie. We are talking about Ranveer’s upcoming movie Simmba, which will be a complete masala entertainer featuring him in a Bindaas and notorious character. The Padmaavat actor is currently shooting for Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy. After Gully Boy, he will start shooting for Simmba with Rohit Shetty.

A source told a leading daily, “Ranveer and Rohit met recently at the filmmaker’s office for a four-hour narration after which the duo bounced ideas off each other. Ranveer is scheduled to starting filming Simmba right after he wraps up Gully Boy in April. It will be a mad, fun, and entertaining ride and he’s excited to finally work with Rohit.”

Earlier, Ranveer had shared his excitement about starting work on Simmba. He had said in an interview with a leading daily, “It’s a full on masala entertainer, which is something I have been wanting to do for such a long time. It’s got all the ingredients — action, comedy, drama, romance, Songs; all the good stuff that goes into a Rohit Shetty film.”

The cop story is jointly made by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Rohit Shetty Films Pvt Ltd and it is scheduled to release on 28thDecember 2018.
