A few days ago, ‘ Padmavati ’ makers confirmed that the film will not release on its original date. Though the new date is not revealed, it’s for sure that it ain’t going to release on 1st December. Meanwhile, the makers of ‘ Firangi ’, which is supposed to release on 24th November, are now planning to push the release date one week further, as the December 1st slot is vacant. Kapil Sharma ’s ‘ Firangi ’ is clashing with other films this week. Though his film is comparatively much bigger, the makers want to get a free run at the box office.

Talking about the shifting of dates, a source told a leading daily, "The film has been sent to the CBFC, but it has not been certified yet. The certification might happen today. In that case, the film will stick to its original release date (November 24). But now that Padmavati has moved, the producers are also thinking about taking up the vacant December 1 slot.”

The source further added, “Along with that, Firangi will have two week’s run before Fukrey Returns releases. That will boost the film’s collections as there is no other film to compete with. The film will get a good breathing space.”

This Friday, the box office will see the clashing of ‘ Tera Intezaar ’, ‘ Julie 2 ’, ‘ Kadvi Hawa ’, and ‘ Bhangover ’ along with ‘ Firangi ’. Though if ‘ Firang i’ release gets pushed, it will be beneficial for both Kapil and the other films.
