Among the flood of recently released masala entertainers, a film revolving around a tender topic is peeping to arrive to please the viewers. Dharma Productions and Disney UTV joined hands to present the critically-acclaimed movie ' The Lunchbox '. The movie was premiered at Toronto, London and Cannes film festivals and fetched rave reviews, thereby sounding promising as India's next year's Oscar entry. The film is helmed by the debutant director Ritesh Batra .

The ace persona Karan Johar expressed his thoughts about the film by saying that the movie depicts a lovestory that makes you fall and rise in love. It emphasizes upon a narrative of a middle-class homemaker, who attempts to add some spice in her married life through her cooking. The film grabbed standing ovation across the globe and the makers are now keen on presenting it in the homeland, said Johar.

Disney UTV, MD, Siddharth Roy Kapur mentioned that the film speaks universal language of emotions and transcends language and cultural barriers. Mr. Kapur is optimistic about the film and said that it will certainly please the Indian audience. ' The Lunchbox ' bagged several awards including the Audience Choice Award at the World Cinema Film Festival in Amsterdam, the Audience Choice Award 2013 at the Cannes Critics Week, Best Director at the Odessa International Film Festival and a Special Mention at the Cinemart Co-Production Market.
