The team of Babumoshai Bandookbaaz released character teaser recently, and the fans of Nawazuddin Siddiqui went haywire with its initial impressions. Although the film got frequently delayed for many reasons and stuck in production for 3 years, yet some part of the shoot, particularly the climax scenes are yet to be shot. So instead of shooting it in Uttar Pradesh, where most of the film was shot, director decided to shot on new location called Budhana, which apparently is native place of Nawazuddin Siddiqui .

One of the prime reasons why the film got delayed most of the time is due to location issues! Earlier it was decided to shoot in Bengal, but due to some resistance and protest and to avoid heat, producers had to change film's location to the somewhat rustic outback. Though director Kushan Nandy did mention that the climax part was pre-decided to shoot later, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui ’s village Budhana was perfect to the setting for an action-packed gritty sequence, hence the decision.

The shoot for this movie already had their share of fun memories. Director Kushan Nandy and his team were once shooting a scene in the train which needed to be shot in gorilla style camera work, but they didn’t inform railway department about the shooting schedule. And since it was an action scene, railway officials got skeptic and took action to arrested whole crew. Later, the situation got controlled but this made a pretty good memory for whoever was on board that day.

Besides Nawazuddin Siddiqui , the cast also includes Bidita bag, Divya Dutta, Murli Sharma and the release date for this gritty gangster style film is yet to be disclosed by the makers. BollywoodMDB would keep you updated on Babumoshai Bandookbaaz !
