Everyone thought she must be trying her hands on film producing but Priyanka Chopra completely blew the scene and excelled in the role of a producer. Instead of producing a Bollywood masala film, the actor-turned-producer headed to potential but untapped regional cinema, particularly Marathi cinema! After a successful venture in Marathi films with Ventilator, her production banner Purple Pebble Pictures is all ready to release the second film titled, Kaay Re Rascalaa, a con comedy directed by Giridharan Swamy, and its teaser is here:

About the film, it will be a con-comedy, about a con who likes to cheat people to get his agenda across and it would tickle your funny bones with its chaos caused by his deeds and confusions he would create with his lies. The film features all Marathi casting of Gaurav Ghatnekar, B

hagyashree Mote, Nikhil Ratnaparkhi, Akshar Kothari, Supriya Pathare and Kunicka Sadanand. It would be interesting to see whether Priyanka Chopra will be appearing in this films or not, like she sung a special song in the movie Ventilator!

It is indeed very daring decision to venture into the film production and not producing masala films which are somehow safe bait on box office. But Priyanka Chopra decided to do it differently! But her bait in Marathi film industry did pay off as per previously produced venture Ventilator, which was also co-produced by her mother Madhu Chopra. Purple Pebble Pictures will also be producing a Sikkimi film too!
