Yesterday, BollywoodMDB covered the buzz that the makers of 2009 Telugu blockbuster ‘Magadheera’ accused the makers of Raabta of copying the plotline. Responding to this, producers of  Raabta slamed their allegations and further criticised industry for forming judgement based on 2 min 14 sec trailer. The team is even prepared for the hearing on 1st June 2017, in Hyderabad Court to decide whether to green signal Raabta ’s release.

Director Dinesh Vijan stated, “We would like to reject even the remotest of suggestions that our film is a copy of Magadheera. We find it extremely unsavory and disrespectful when people from the industry belittle someone's hard work by using words like "copied", "plagiarized" nonchalantly and jump to conclusions without verifying the facts or waiting for the film to release for the public to give its verdict." To which we all can agree, the process should be to watch the movie and then decide whether it is a plagiarized copy or an original content.

Indeed the basic plot premises are same yet different in their own way. To break down and discuss, both films has the plot from period age and modern age setting. However, there could be different storyline followed and we could clearly see Raabta ’s period part has tribal clan setting. So everyone should judge a book, or here a movie by its content rather than just a trailer!

Besides main lead of Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon , the film also has powerful performing cast of Jim Sarbh and Varun Sharma . And if everything falls perfectly into the place then Raabta will be releasing theater on 9th June! Of course, BollywoodMDB will keep you updated with any news on this case!
