Popular actor Sushant Singh Rajput , who was last seen in Raabta opposite Kriti Sanon , will start shooting for his next film from January 10, 2018. Titled Sone Chidaiya, the movie is being helmed by Udta Punjab fame Abhishek Chaubey and also stars Bhumi Pednekar as the female lead. Seasoned actors Ashutosh Rana , Manoj Bajpayee and Ranvir Shorey will also be seen in important roles in the movie.

The film is set in the Chambal valley of the 1970s, an area notorious for its dreaded dacoits. A source close to the project revealed, “We are having script reading sessions for the whole team. Prep is on in full swing. The film is high on emotions and drama. There is a love story as well. We will start shoot from January 10, 2018.”

The film was initially titled Chambal but now it is rechristened as Sone Chidaiya. However, the title may see a change by the time it is ready for its theatrical release. The shooting of the film will take place in real locations of Morena and Bhind in Madhya Pradesh. To be produced by Ronnie Screwvala , the film is expected to hit screens in the second half of 2018.
